Product type: Information Product & Natural Home Remedies
I am not much of a believer in modern medical science. Every time I go to a doctor, I seem to have some so-called professional telling me what I already happen to know, then billing me an astronomical sum for what amounts to regurgitated advice.
Thanks to the onset of the information age, becoming your own best primary care physician has become easier than ever. I am not saying that you should not go to a specialist if you feel a bump where one should not be or if you coughing up blood, but I think a well informed person can utilize the computer to help diagnose and treat minor medical conditions.
Growing up, my mother always had an Aloe Vera plant sitting in the kitchen window. Every time someone in the family suffered a burn or a scrape, she would tear a little piece from one of the plants lancelets and apply the inner gooey gel to the wound. The soothing gel was as effective as any store bought medicine, and the plant healed quickly and would thrive with the minimal amount of care.
Raising a family of eight was no small task and my parents did not have a lot of time or money to deal with everyday burns cuts and scrapes that six wild kids happen to get while growing up. Also, being a product of the Sixties, my mother was a firm believer in using nature made products whenever it was possible and the little Aloe Vera plant is practically a poster child for green living.
I asked my mother recently where she got the idea to keep an Aloe plant around, assuming that she had read about the plant in one of the many “healthy living” books that she had had accrued during the Nixon era. To my surprise, she told me that she got the idea from her own mother, who had started keeping Aloe Vera in the kitchen during the Great Depression. It was during this period that Aloe Vera started making a comeback in the United States as an alternative medicine.
While people have utilized it since the dawn of civilization, Aloe Vera was dismissed by western medicine in the late Nineteenth century as modern pharmaceutical companies formed and so called “folk” medicines were sidelined in favor of pills pumped out by machines. That’s progress for you.
It was not until the economy collapsed and people could no longer afford to pay for the pills that entrepreneurs were trying to push on them, that they began to rediscover things that had been around the whole time. Aloe Vera soon began to experience a revival, especially for its skin healing properties.
Being a wannabe green thumb, I have followed in my mother’s footsteps these past couple years and have started keeping an Aloe plant in my home. It is a fairly easy plant to maintain although I have to be careful not to over water during the winter months ( I am a bit of a overwaterer) . Harking back to my childhood, I have also utilized the healing power of the aloe whenever I get a bruise, burn, cut or scrape. Since I am also a wannabe gourmet cook and bicycle enthusiast, I have a tendency to bruise, burn, cut and scrape myself a lot, a whole lot.
When you type in Aloe Vera into any search engine, you end up with a long list of sites that offer up a plethora of information. However, sifting through all the facts and myths is some grueling work. Internet sources can be notoriously static.
For example, if you want to learn the history behind the plant, you could find yourself believing that perhaps Aliens gave the plant to mankind during the last Ice Age.
I love finding useful sites that give out sound advice about the topic of personal health and welfare. There are many useful sites out there in cyberspace, and also a ton of e-books available that contain information your doctor would probably never want tell you.
One of the books that I recently discovered is called Aloe - Your Miracle Doctor.
Being the type of person who is always looking for ways to save money, I decided to invest in this e-book and find out more ways to utilize my little Aloe Plant to better my health.
This book is loaded with aloe-based remedies culled from both scientific and traditional sources.
I had no idea that Aloe Vera gel could be used to heal things like canker sores and even help with thinning hair until I read this book. There were also many useful tips on how to care for your own Aloe Vera plant so you do not need to rush out to the health food store to procure an overpriced bottle of Aloe Vera Gel, which may contain other stuff your body really does not need.
Yulia Berry’s book, Aloe Your Miracle Doctor lays out the plant's history in concrete detail. You learn how the ancient Sumerians and Egyptian utilized the plant and why Aloe Vera as a cure disappeared during the dawn of the industrial age. It will open your eyes to why the big pharmaceuticals do not want you to know about Aloe Vera and all that it can do.
It takes a lot of money to create a cure: research, development, trails, advertising, ect. Millions, if not billions of dollars are poured into a new drug. Then, after all that, the drug companies need to hurry up and squeeze the public for all they got before the patent runs out and the generics step in. When someone starts saying things like, “Hey! I know of something that will do a better job then your drug and it can be found at any grocery or hardware store a couple of bucks,” the drug companies do not want you to hear about it.
This is pretty much what Yulia Berry says in her book (although I am paraphrasing a bit).
She breaks down the plant and shows you everything it contains from the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs to the all-important mucopolysaccharides (MSP’s) that are responsible for many of the Aloe’s healing properties. She leaves no stone unturned as she informs what this plant contains and why it could help you. She also lists all of the health problems Aloe can help as well as all of the home remedies that people have been using for centuries.
I think the coolest feature about this e-book is that it you get free updates.
As soon as the author finds out something new, you will find out about at no extra charge. Yulia is always looking for new ways this little miracle plant can help you and you will be the first to know about it. She also includes a recipe for an Aloe Gel that will help invigorate and cleanse your body.
By having all of this information in one place, you are spared hours of research, and you can end up saving tons of money on medical expenses. Buying this book is not only good for your pocket book; it is also an investment in your health. Aloe Vera is a safe and natural way to relieve pain, acne, and indigestion and can help people suffering from cancer and Aids.
My plant is currently too small to utilize on a daily basis, but I have just repotted it and I am planning to get another one next time I go to the hardware store. I cannot wait to build up my little Aloe Empire and to start making the Aloe Vera Gel juice from the recipe that is included in Aloe - Your Miracle Doctor.
This book forever changed the way I look at my little green spiky plant and also woke me up to how resourceful my grandparents actually were.
